Intensive Weekend course

Join me for an immersive weekend dedicated to the art of pottery. Over two focused days in my cosy five-wheel studio, you’ll receive plenty of personal, hands-on guidance as you dive into the process of creating on the potter’s wheel.

Saturday (10am–4pm) – Learn the essential basics of wheel throwing: how to centre clay on the wheel and how to throw beakers and bowls. We’ll work step-by-step so you build skill and confidence as the day progresses.

Sunday (10am–1pm) – Discover how to trim (“turn”) your thrown pieces to refine their form and prepare them beautifully for firing.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refresh and improve your technique, this course will give you a solid foundation in wheel work in a short, focused time. Tea and coffee are provided throughout, and you’re welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy during Saturday’s break.

By the end of the weekend, you’ll have crafted your own unique pieces and gained the skills to take your pottery journey further. Let’s create something special together in just one weekend!

Cancellation Policy

Please make sure you can attend the full course before booking, as fees are non-refundable once a course has started or sold out. We can only offer a full refund if you give at least one month’s notice or if we are able to find someone to take your place, so it’s important to let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend. The weekend course is designed to progress from Saturday to Sunday, and missing a day cannot be rescheduled or refunded, even due to illness, so please check your availability carefully.

We reserve the right to cancel or make changes to any courses, workshops, or sessions. If we need to cancel, we will do our best to provide an alternative date, and if you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund. In cases where a course date changes after the course has started, for example due to tutor illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to find a replacement date that works for everyone or make suitable arrangements directly with you.
