Carved White Mug

Wheel-thrown coffee or tea mug/cup. Made of grey stoneware clay and glazed in gloss white.
The soft round shape of the bottom of the mug makes it a joy to hold and with its generous size...The perfect cuddle mug ;)

I have used different tools to carved the surface of this mug, which feels lovely to the touch and looks great.
This fluted pattern encourages the glaze to pool in the deeper areas while it pools away from the higher ridges, exposing the natural colour of the clay I used to make this mug.

* Oven, dishwasher and microwave-safe. I recommend hand-wash handmade stoneware in general.
* All glazes are food safe (lead-free).
* As with all ceramic cook-dinnerware, please avoid subjecting the pieces to extreme thermal shock. Sudden transfer from hot to cold temperatures and vice versa can cause damage (cracking) to the piece.
* Ceramic pieces will get hot when heated or if containing just boiled liquids (especially the ones made with black clay) so please be careful when handling them.
* Since all my pieces are handmade, no two items are exactly alike but I do make sure the pictures show them as realistically as possible.
