Hakeme White Mug

Wheel-thrown coffee or tea cup/mug. Made with red clay and decorated using the "hakeme" brush technique, where a stiff brush is used to apply clay slip (same colour clay in this case) directly to the mug surface. This technique gives a truly unique rustic surface that it is highlighted by the white glaze used to finish the piece. The round unglazed marks that appear at the bottom of the mug are where my fingers where positioned while glazing the mug. They are not an imperfection, they are visible on purpose because they tell a story ;)

The price listed is for a single mug.

* Oven, dishwasher and microwave-safe. I recommend hand-wash handmade stoneware in general.
* All glazes are food safe (lead-free).
* As with all ceramic cook-dinnerware, please avoid subjecting the pieces to extreme thermal shock. Sudden transfer from hot to cold temperatures and vice versa can cause damage (cracking) to the piece.
* Ceramic pieces will get hot when heated or if containing just boiled liquids (especially the ones made with black clay) so please be careful when handling them.
* Since all my pieces are handmade, no two items are exactly alike but I do make sure the pictures show them as realistically as possible.
