Wheel-Throwing Taster Sessions

Looking for a creative and memorable experience? This pottery taster session is perfect for anyone wanting to try their hand at the wheel in a relaxed and friendly setting.

With a maximum of 4 people per session, you’ll enjoy plenty of personal guidance and your own wheel to work on. You can book on your own or with friends and family — there’s no need to come as a group.

Over 2 hours,  I’ll guide you through the basics of wheel-throwing, from centring the clay to shaping your own small forms. No previous experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get a little messy!

At the end, you’ll choose your two favourite creations to keep. I’ll bisque fire them, glaze them in your chosen colours, and fire them again. Once they’re ready, you can collect them from the studio or have them posted to you (just cover postage).

Cancellation Policy

Please make sure you can attend the full course before booking, as fees are non-refundable once a course has started or sold out. We can only offer a full refund if you give at least one month’s notice or if we are able to find someone to take your place, so it’s important to let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend.

We reserve the right to cancel or make changes to any courses, workshops, or sessions. If we need to cancel, we will do our best to provide an alternative date, and if you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund. In cases where a course date changes after the course has started, for example due to tutor illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to find a replacement date that works for everyone or make suitable arrangements directly with you.
