Cheese board and chutney bowl workshop

Create your own cheese board and chutney bowl in this relaxed, beginner-friendly pottery workshop. In this session I'll guide you on how to hand-build a board and a small bowl  using simple slab and shaping techniques. Once your set is built, you’ll  then have time to decorate it using underglazes — sgraffito, paint patterns, illustrations, textures or simple colour blocks to create a design that reflects your personal style.

No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. This workshop is perfect for complete beginners, creative friends, or anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxed, hands-on pottery experience.

After the workshop, we’ll carefully dry, glaze, and kiln-fire your set. Your finished pieces will be ready to collect in a few weeks.

Cancellation Policy

Please make sure you can attend the full course before booking, as fees are non-refundable once a course has started or sold out. We can only offer a full refund if you give at least one month’s notice or if we are able to find someone to take your place, so it’s important to let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend.

We require a minimum of three people to run each group course. We reserve the right to cancel or make changes to any courses, workshops, or sessions. If we need to cancel, we will do our best to provide an alternative date, and if you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund. In cases where a course date changes after the course has started, for example due to tutor illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to find a replacement date that works for everyone or make suitable arrangements directly with you.
